    Refresh my memory?

    Guys, were VIN numbers sequential for 1972 models? Meaning, I own "S" #1556...therefore, # 1676 would have come off the line later than my car, which was made in July of '72? I know the engine numbers jump around, but aren't the VIN numbers in sequential production order?

    My T is number 2233 and the date code on the door jam says 05 72
