    new 911 magazine...

    Hey Guys,
Thought you'd like to know about this. This is a new British magazine devoted just to the 911 . The publisher Philip Raby told me its going to be a pretty upscale publication. Check out the subscription deal they have for new subscribers.

That's about $150.00 for one year subscription (incl. shipping). Damn dollar to pound exchange rate again!

I have just requested their advertising rates and asked them the balance of content that will be dedicated to early 911s.

"Re balance of content - we aim to be quite even amongst all 911s - and given that 911s are all we'll be covering, we'll have all in much more detail than the other magazines.

We'll have a more focussed editorial statement after Christmas."

They are sending me a dummy copy

Yawn. Upscale = cars for people with more money than brains. I don't need to see a $250,000 Carrera SC thanks.

I'd like to see a magazine for Porsche owners who do their own work, instead of having these flashy cars, with a "thank you" to the 27 shops they had work on it.

I was actually referring to the design/layout and printing quality of the magazine, not the cars themselves. I'm sure that there will be a nice mix of project cars that are built by the owners as well as high end tuner cars...

I'm just yappin because I started a thread a few weeks ago about what the best magazine out there is. Doesn't seem as though this one is going to be better than the rest.
