Check the roads before driving up (or down)

    All,
    (writing this about 1430-friday afternoon)

If you're planning on attending the service for Milt...you may want to call Caltrans, or the CHP, for the latest gouge on the roads...

I know the grapevine (I-5) has been closed off-and-on...I'm not sure about Techachapi Pass (58 into Bakersfield) but I'm certain that ain't no picnic either.

Just be cautious, and keep an eye on these road conditions - Ca. drivers are bad enough on DRY roads...

    Good Luck

    Tom, and all who's going...

I'm afraid I will not be attending Milt's service...

I have the Registry meeting tomorrow morning...
And another memorial service for Alfa racer Charlie Thieriot (who I used to pit for for the 2.5 TrasAm) in Lancaster (I hope the roads will be OK for this one)

Please give my regrets and sympathy to Melissa and all...

    This was in Autoweek today...

    Kurt,
You're right in the beginning, however as you know, there was some big issues between Richie, Milt, and Allan Johnson towards the end of that C-Production session back in '68 … Oh well, now their both gone.

    Anyway…
Because of the weather and road closures I learned that most of the SoCal contingency did not make it to the service this last Sat. up at Sanger…

So... I hope that maybe someone says a little something at our next gathering down here for old Milt…

    Cheers,
