    European Classifieds

    When I want to buy or sell an interesting car in the US, I turn first to Hemmings (in addition to marque-specific places, such as this forum).

    Can any of our European correspondents help me identify the "Hemmings of Europe"? I'm in Germany, but I'd like to reach anyone that may want to spend Euros.

    Lee,

    There's the obvious UK publications such as 911 & Porsche World, plus Classic Car & Sportscar (which has a European section). There's plenty of good websites for this market too such as:

    www.porscheclubgbforum.com
    www.classic-chrome.co.uk
    www.early911.co.uk

    In France you have publications such as Nostalgia (www.editions-pegase.com)

    Not a comprehensive list, but hopefully that will give you a start!

    Lee, a couple of good 'Klassikauto' magazines are available every month or so. Hemmings-like in ad structure, but not in volume. Available at news stands.

    Admittedly it only covers France but Flat 6 magazine has a huge number of 911 ads...usually some pretty good long noses.

    But I'm biased as I got mine that way.
