Thread: Bosch Distributor???

  1. #1

    Question Bosch Distributor???

    Will a 1969 911S bosch distributor bolt right into a 1971 911T.

I have a marelli distributor and a friend of mine has a '69 911S bosch dist. that he is willing to sell me if it fits.

Will the S curved dist. be ok to run with my stock T motor?

My T is euipped with a MSD ignition, PMO carbs.

    Thank You for your replies

The S distributor should work fine. I had a 67 S distributor in my stock T for years before upgrading it. Try the initial and total S timing specs too. Should provide a little more low end torque, but listen very carefully for any borderline ping.

Also, consider adding an optical trigger to replace the points (Crane or MSD).
