Hey guys,
Thanks for the link to the Tabs thread.
I did look at some of his past posts and I would like to clarify that I do not know this man and I do not have, nor do I ever plan to have, any affiliation with him. I do see that he has asked some questions regarding restoration in the past and thus, you maybe thought that I was him posing under an alias.
I have been hovering around these boards for around 6 months, and this is/was my first post. I am interested in buying my first early 911 and these boards have provided much insight thus far. I posted this question, because I am contemplating buying a car that needs some restoration. I am a bit of a perfectionist, so I would want to do the restoration right and I want to get an idea of how much a "proper" restoration may cost. This is why I am searching for the contact info of reputable restorers. If anyone feels more comfortable contacting me via email with restoration information, that would be great. Otherwise, any comments on restorers that you would like to share with the board would be fine.
Thanks for your help.

Rick Cabell in Burlington, Vermont comes to mind. He is surely one of the most knowledgeable and experienced early 911 perfectionists. His shop is Eurotech, tel. 802-660-1900. I can highly recommend him as a 911 expert and as a gentleman as well.

By the way Fernando, welcome to the fold.

Thanks for the advice Jens. My wife's parents live in Shelburne, so if I were to use this guy in Burlington, visiting the in-laws may be a bit more manageable. In fact, my wife might be happy that I suddenly was interested in visiting them more often!

Fernando, where are you located? You mentiones you want to buy your first 911, are you looking for anything specific?
Henry
I have also been an avid "reader" of this board and last year I purchased a 73 911S (Glacier Blue) that is also in need of restoration. Does anyone have a recommendation for a 911 restoration shop in Southern California?
Thanks in advance,
Tom
My first post on here as well. I own a few later air cooled porsches and am interested in acquiring a 911S or 911 SWT pre-73 and looking for advice on best modes of acquisition and or recommended restoration garages in or around North Carolina or the South East. I am familiar with Road Scholars and just wanted to see other options. PM me or respond here.
