    67 911S Carpet ???

    Fritz,
I'm not expert on interiors...but I have a '67S that had an original interior (very tired) when I got it. It was definitely not "velour". I'd send it back. Good luck.

Richard, thanks, What I ordered was the 'German Square weave' , My 67S looks like a velour? but I am new to these things and I am not sure I even know what I am looking at. The German Square weave seems to have a closed loop, the old carpet in my car is cut pile, is your 's the closed loop?

By the way, there is a new game in town for interiors....

Tony's Autobahn Interiors, in San Diego, cell 951 634-6480

He was an 18 year employee of Auto's before striking out on his own. I have already had a set of sport seats done by him, and they are perfect! Have another set there right now, and he will be displaying this set (black leather with houndstooth inserts) at the LA lit show, and swap meet.

I'l order from him.....he's cheaper than Auto's and in my opinion, better quality.

    Regards,

    Eric

    Eric,

does he have a website, or a pricelist available for his carpet kits? im not serious to buy right now, so i dont want to waist his time by calling, but just curious on his cost for square weave is.

Harry, What I bought is the Charcoal German Square-weave from Pelican Parts, Part # PEL-911-CPK-11. I do not want it. I would like to put the wool Veluar in my 67S. I will make a deal on it. Pelican does not take returns on carpet. Pelican does not list Velour for cars before 69. I will need to go some where else, Tony's Autobohn ? I paid $744.45 (with floors) Fritz

Man, it's an expensive bugger out there if you're new to doing this sorta stuff. I quickly learned you have to research the living crap outta every detail before you open your wallet.

Are "velour" and "sliver knit" the same thing? I once replaced carpet in a '68 L with what Autos International called sliver knit and it seemed the same as the original.
