Vic Elford in Ohio - Update! (Taj Kreuzers Speedfest June 2-5)

Well, it looks like it is going to happen!
Vic Elford will be appearing at the TajMaGaraj on June 2nd, 2005. This will be in conjunction with the weekend chaos that makes up the Taj Kreuzers Speedfest. (http://www.tajmagaraj.com/)
Details of cost and hours are still to be worked out but one of the main goals will be to keep the group somewhat small so that everyone should be able to meet Mr Elford and speak with him.
Last year we raised more than $50,000 for the Ronald McDonald House charity and we hope to surpass it this year. If you are anywhere near Ohio, please support the event.
Here is a tentative schedule for the weekend - hope to see everyone there!

Thu June 02 - Vic Elford private party...meet and B.S.session with Vic
Fri June 03 - Quaker Steak and Lube Party (wings and beer)
Sat June 04 (early morning) - Literature/Swap meet at the Taj
Sat June 04 - MVSCC Autocross at Wright State Univ.
(Note: the Autocross will be on a much bigger course this year. Expect great speed in a safe wide open facility)
Sat June 04 - Taj Ma Garaj Porsche Museum Tour
Sat June 04 (evening) Taj Ma Garaj VIP gala
Sun June 05- Taj Road Warrior Tour (8 am)
Sun June 05- Taj Concours (Noon-5pm)

Here is the official press release - hot off the presses.
I belive that Curt and I may try to make this a semi-official Midwest RGruppe/Early S event so hopefully we will see plenty of you guys there.
I will be hosting an informal BBQ on Sat night at my home for anyone on this board plus a few of my VW friends that will be in for a concurrent VW drag race.

    Hi Dave,

Great job, that is very cool. Are tickets on sale yet? If they are where do we get them? Thanks.

I have arranged for special pricing for a Quality Inn (nothing fancy, just clean and convienient with the ability to see your car from your room). It looks like the early car contengent is going to be HUGE this year!

    Dave:

Look forward to the weekend and the Bash at your house on Sat Nite. I will BE THERE. But, I promise not to bring any of the girls that Jared has introduced me to (Geez, Jared . . . . ) I'll leave them at the Quality Inn waiting for some Quality Time . . . . .
