    Why Schumacher is fast

I got this link from a thread on Rennlist; why Schumacher is fast:

... and an additional link from that thread:

I think we need a left foot braking setup on our cars.

Interesting data. Seems like it would be difficult with a clutch pedal to deal with in the 911. I've been playing around with left-foot braking in my M3 with the sequential manual gearbox. There's a nice aftermarket brake pedal designed specifically for left-foot braking w/ SMG.

There was a video clip of Walter Rohl's feet dancing on the pedals. Anybody have a link to that?

    Nice clip, MS dominates.
Here is thread with more discussion on braking.
Several 911 racers I know can and do left foot brake certain momentum turns.
I only do it on a regular basis during the rolling start to a race, on the straight. No skill required there.
When I raced go karts you had to left foot brake and through practice I did develop some left foot sensitivity.
But I have all but given up on doing it in my 911. With a size 13/14 shoe the foot box and pedal cluster spacing leave me little or no room. During practice flying into T2 at Big Willow I practiced it a few times with no success.
My left foot needed eyes to find the brake and not hit both the brake and clutch.
It is amazing how much MS gains on some corners with the left foot brake technique. Maybe after I clearance my foot box I'll give it another try.
