    RSR roof hole?

    When I bought my 73 S it had a 5/16 open hole between the sunroof and the windshield. This weekend at the Rolex 24 at Daytona Florida I found a 73rsr with the same hole and a chrome plug in it. There was a 914-6 (Brumos) with a light attached to the roof, same? Help!

    Didn't racers used to run a distinct light on the roof to help their team follow them in nighttime enduros? My guess would be that it was put there by someone who raced the car.

    It might be for a communications antenna. That would explain just the 5/8ths hole. A light would/could/should have a hole for the wire(s) and small screw holes for the light attachment. Justa thought.

    I did put a new headliner in and seem to recall a round connection for an antena, and my front fenders have no factory hole for the usual antena. Is this thena a factory looking antena. Anyone have a pic of one?
