Question Distirbing clutch (?) noise, any ideas

Hi, My 70 911t with an alleged rebuilt 901 is doing some weird stuff. While accellerating in a "normal" fashion, I push in the clutch and shifts without any noise whatsoever; however when pushing in the clutch to shift under full throtle I get a horrific clatter that continues even when I let the clutch out in neutral. I did replace the driver's floor board recently and had to readjust the clutch stop. Is the clutch pedal going too far and do I need to readjust or is something more sinister going on. Thanks for any insight. Cort Chambers.

    Cort,

Can't say I have any experience with a 70, but a few ideas come to mind. I suppose It's possible for the clutch release arm to go too far and catch the spinning flywheel assy. (I had this happen on other cars). I would say increase the pedal free play a bit and see if it changes. As far as why it only does it under WFO, I would suspect old and spongy motor mounts are yielding to the engine torque and causing stuff to move that shouldn't move.
