Having spent a few hours removing the oil lines from my 1975 European 2.7 Carrera I am left wondering what are the choices when I rebuild the car.
Leaning against the garage wall the pipes are possibly a work of art if your a plumber, and they do seem a simple idea, but crude also springs to mind
The clips to hold them onto the body were all rusted and most sheared off and the proximity of the pipes to the cill has probably assisted the spread of rust in that area......... so surely there must be an alternative........ some cooler unit located elsewhere and fed with pipes inside the car, not strapped to the outside
As there is no cooler unit for this model just the pipes I can't see how handling would be adversely affected....?

any thoughts would be welcomed

thanks a lot
