    besides fuchs and minilites

anyone out there running with wheels other then fuchs or minilites?, I know this is kind of absurd but I am curious if anyone runs with a lower profile tire and bigger rim.I am not into the look myself as I like original but must admit the right combo does look great on some older cars.let me know.

The problem is that nothing is as strong and as light as a Fuchs. So you see a lot of them. Forged magnesium or titanium would be nice - and the C-GT uses the former. I've also seen pics of CF wheels. But wheel to fit a 911 are rare.

Now, you _can_ get Joengbloed to make you some forged Mg wheels for the early 911 - they will only cost $2,500 each...

So there's no Fuchin' way to improve....

17x8 and 10s with DOT race tires. 235/40 fronts and 275/40 rears. Certainly not required for street driving. Larger and wider rims are something to consider when your goal is improved performance or lap times. If you drive it only the street leave it stock and enjoy the cushioned ride of the large sidewalls on the 15 inch rims. If you are looking for affordable track wheels consider the CCW rims.

Cosmics from England are pretty cool on an early 911.

I have a set of Revolution 7x15 wheels with 911R type offset that I will be using on a narrow bodied 911 for track events. They look very nice in silver and will allow a 225/50-15 tire all around.
