    spectacular 911R spread in Magazine

In this month's British mag, GT Purely Porsche 02/2005 there is a great feature with great detail color shots of 911R #307601S which is "R3" The restoration is first class. The magazine because of the exchange rate is a bit pricey but the article is well worth the price of admission. Enjoy the art!

    To "quote" the art.
" If it wasn't tied down it was thrown out, replaced with a lighter equiv., or drilled out by someone who enjoyed playing with a rotary saw.
    They were 800 kilos.
Inspection panels in the floor were disregarded - you could see thje road below.
every single non-load bearing area was drilled out to resemble swiss cheese
R3 was only car to use aluminum as the principle weight sav mat.rather than fiberglass doors, front fenders, engine lid, seat shells, and dash top - all aluminum . Orig. had the 905 sporto gearbox with a higher converter stall speed.
(now has the good old 901) "
