    Ebay "911S"

Somebody paid over $12,000 for this. I will make no further comments - just a case of buyer beware...

Randy, do you have a link to the auction? Also, my old eyes can't quite make out the VIN in the pic...

Because I'm no authority on early S models, I'll wait unashamedly for some of our concours experts to comment.

Im not a concourse expert at all, but Im assuming the shot of the chassis number means it not really an S?

I remember a black/wet ebay car that looked like it had just been rolled out of a storage unit for rain and then pics. Same car? Pics of wet cars (especially of cars that are so prone to rust and sitting so close to covered storage ) make me think something may not be right about the paint.

What does the engine bay look like ?
12000. doesn't seem that far out of line if there is no rust and the engine is solid. Esp. if it's got a decent 2liter S engine.
But it sure is hard to tell from a couple pics.
That battery sure is a jumbo.

I was wondering the same thing - has a SWB rear grill but the wiper is down on drivers side (or is it an action shot?)

not enough pics to be sure

From what I can see of the vin it looks like a 67S. That would be correct for the deck lid and grille. Although it appears to have the wrong windows for a SWB and also the wrong dash insert for an S. Other than that it seems to look OK in the pics. Am I missing something?

Man, how can you tell what that # is ? they are all one lump to me.
head rests are wrong for a 67
arm rests are not right either.
