Yet Another Insert Material Question - TWEED

Since we have the experts on the corduroy trail, thought I'd request some help on uncovering a mystery I've had no luck in solving.

Below is a shot of my kardex - it shows interior material as black leatherette/ tweed -13 (sport seats). Can anyone confirm if this is Houndstooth or not? I originally thought it was, but have since seen h/t listed as such on other kardexes. So if it's not, can anyone show me a sample of what tweed is?

    Thanks as always.

Houndstooth tweed. I think that's what you have. Pepita.

Tweed started in 1974.....so it must mean houndstooth.

Maybe the Kardex in not accurate as some have been. Time for a 'are you sure' quiz to our friends across the pond?

    Jared,

On page 131 of the Carrera RS there is an interesting chart that describes the interior and seat material of the RS. Your CoA uses code 13 for the interior which matches up with Hound's Tooth cloth inserts on the chart.

Okay H/T it is... the option code convinces me. Good thing because I have some of Larry's H/T fabric and it looks SO choice with silver paint when laid over the seats!

    Thanks!

    Question Orientation?

Which way should the "tweed" be oriented? Left/right, north/south, longitude/latitude?

This looks right to me (Curt's Gray Wolf) where the primarily white pattern goes laterally.

I beleive the orientation is correct on my seats, but the pattern is not 'original' and the fabric itself is not the same as original. I had original houndstooth inserts on standard seats in my old 73 and they were significantly different. OTOH, unless one is doing some sort of concours-type restoration .... who cares?
