    911 2.2S seat question

    Gentlemen,
I have been quietly lurking for some years already. However, now I am close to joining the exclusive circle of 911 S owners. If the car is right, that is.
My question: is the seat pictured below an original Recaro for Porsche seat? I have never seen such a hinge. Furthermore, the seat is height adjustable by the small lever close to the rail.
I also enclose a shot of the car itself. It was repainted (not perfectly) but seems rustfree with a re-done interior and good mechanics. It is not totally original but would be a nice basis for a modified/R-Gruppe car.
    Thank you for your help!

    Hi,

I think left and right seats with their consoles have been exchanged their places. You'll see the usual hinges between them. On your picture, you can see a little lever which is usually located between seats to permit the slide from back to front.

Manu us right. Seats have been swapped from their bases - usually done by a well intentioned owner who wants to keep the wear on the upholstery even.

    Thanks for your help, guys!
So what I am actually looking at is the inside hinge, right?

If you ever happen to have questions regarding 964s, do not hesitate! After six years of 964 ownership I have managed to find answers to all (beginners) questions...

    Anatol,

Which shop is this? Just curious as they seem to have a few other nice cars as well.

The 2.2S is offered by a well known dealer in Vienna, Austria: Konradtsheim. He is the co-author of that great book on the 911 RS 2.7.

Here are some more shots of his current inventory:

    Hope you like it,

I wouldn't mind spending a few hours looking round that room.
    Very nice.
