RESCHEDULED: Pac West R Gruppe Mt. St. Helens Tour
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm sorry to inform you that the Mt. St. Helens Tour planned for April 2-3 needs to be rescheduled because of road closures.

As of today 4/14/05, Cayuse Pass (SR 123) is still closed for the winter. Also, the road south of Mt. St. Helens (SR 83/93/94) that we would use still has seasonal road closures as well as closures due to Mt. St. Helens activity.

After consulting with Oregon Chaptermeister, Earl Green, we feel it best to pospone this tour and reschedule it to a date when we can be sure all planned roads are open:

SATURDAY MAY 21ST is the new Mt. St. Helens Tour Date

I will personally run the tour route from Portland to Seattle on May 8th on my way back from Monterey to ensure that we are a go for the 21st. I will give everyone an update then. The breakfast meets, 2nd day tour plans to Mt. Hood, and hotel plans for Hood River Inn will all stay the same - just changing to May 21st and 22nd.

Optional Day 2 tour leaves from Hood River, Oregon through the North/Central OR high plateau the following day, Sunday. This is a great 3 hour drive through some spectacular scenery! Group rate for Saturday night lodging is available at the Hood River Inn.

PM or email me for more details or if you plan on attending.

Randy, that's assuming the roads are still there? The volcano does as she will.
