    Engine Lid Gurus...HELP PLZ!

    Evenin folks,
    I'm having a heck of a time with my engine compartment lid staying latched down. I have a set of the rubber t-latches used a lot on early front ends, but the back end of the car stumps me. PO installed the red reflector thang on the car and there's no way to install the latches. If anyone has experience on the stock latches and can coach me on setting it up properly, I'd really appreciate it.

    Longterm solution for winter '05-06 is a one piece narrow body 'glass rr bumper along with body/paint...I know I answered my own question on the latch but was hoping to wait until next winter. I drove it hard yesterday for a short period of time and would rather be tearing up asphalt than doing body work...

    Duct tape...it'll work until you dump that ugly red reflector thing. Gawd, WHY OH WHY did so many PO's try to "upgrade" with these things??

    The rear end is totally wrong. Side bumper pieces are from 60's and reflector and goofy big bumperettes are '74. I'll mess with the stock latch and see what I can come up with for now.
