    Driver Door Light Promblem???

HELLO ALL FELLOW REGISTERED MEMBERS, AND THE UNREGISTERED ALSO, I GOT A PROMBLEM THAT I HOPE YOU CAN HELP ME WITH. HOW DO YOU INSTALL THE DOOR LIGHT SWITCH OR BUTTON IF ONE STUPID OWNER(ME) ALREADY PULLED THE WIRE COMPLETELY OUT FROM THE BACK SIDE IT'S NOW HANGING UNDER THE DASH? I TRIED PULLING BACK THE CARPET AND REACHING MY HAND(WITH WIRE IN IT) BUT MY HAND AND FINGERS ARE TO BIG TO FIT ALL THE WAY UP THAT OPENING UP ON THE SIDE PANEL UNDER THE DASH BEHIND THE CARPET POUCH ON THE DRIVER SIDE. I TRIED GOING THRU THE FRONT BUT WASN'T SUCESSFUL. THIS IS A 1972S TARGA,ANY INPUT AND I MEAN ANY WOULD BE HELPFUL HOPE I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE TO HAVE DONE THIS(IT'S THE WIRE THAT I'M TRYING TO REINSTALL TO THE SWITCH)????

take a small wire, semi stiff...run it through the hole...tie dangling wire to it, pull gently...

pwd72s, that is easier said than done,it seems that after you go thru the one hole there is a bend or another opening inside, this small wire thing have you actually done this or are you being logical????? ps are those batteries $500.00 now(sonnenshein gel) are these the same ones ED MAYO had?

yep, just being logical...but if my fingers won't fit, I always look for a smaller tool. Maybe a tool I call a "grabber"? Purchased cheap at a local auto parts store...flexible coiled steel like on a lawn mower throttle cable. Inside, controlled by a push button, "claws" that expand & contract. Maybe one of those?
Yep, it was Ed Mayo who first turned me on the the Sonnenschein Gel cells. Alas, he doesn't sell them anymore...
