Does anyone know what comprised the "S" option package on an early 70's T Coupe, in addition to the front spoiler?
thanks!

S trim (wider) was part of the package. I am sure more will chime in with a complete list.

In addition to exterior wide deco trim and "S" air dam it most likely included
full oil pressure and temp. package instead of the idiot light. Possibly 5 speed included in this. If factory A/C it would have included "S" oil cooler in front right fender well. (at least on the 73 model year)

No spoiler until 1972. Earlier S trim option was (i think) full set of five "S" gauges and wider external black rubber trim. My 1969 T Targa had S gauges, no front spoiler, and the narrow trim. So there were likely various ways to option the T and E cars,
Maybe someone else can chime in about the spoiler in 72 - 73. I am not sure if it was included in "S" trim package, or was a seperate upgrade.
In my experience, many owners of earlier(pre 1972) model 911s had the spoiler retrofitted by dealers in the mid 70's, as a "needed" update...

At least with targas, a '73S with factory A/C did not get an oil cooler.Originally Posted by NiceT

Thanks for your input guys!
In addition to gauges, deco trim, and the front spoiler, would the "S" option package have included any suspension and/or brake upgrades, or interior trim upgrades?
Second question...what was included in the "Comfort Package" option?
thanks!
I would assume an S option would be front and rear sway bars. The dealer could add anything an owner wanted including Koni shocks.

"comfort package" meant 14" fuchs alloys. Are you sitting down? Also the dreaded hydropneumatic front struts....

Yikes!
I thought those hydropnuematic struts were only on E's. I've heard a lot horror stories about them, and that many owners early on scrapped them and converted.
I know there was the ability to add all of the S options individually, S Suspension, S Swaybars, S brakes, S Guages, S Spoiler, and S Appearance package, I had a 72 T with just the S appearance and a 72 T with everything S except the front spoiler and the S Engine! I am not sure if you had to have the apperaance group in order to be able to order the other options.
Best,
