    Modifying Durant Mirrors

Has anyone succesfully modified their Durant mirrors to allow for further "inwards" angle?

    Care to share how ?

Perhaps your mirror isn't mounted properly? On my '70 T I never had a problem placing as much of the car in the mirror as I cared to.

I have the same problem, I even ended up breaking one, tried to mount it different, but to no avail, I'll also appreciate the help.

They might be talking about the passenger side. And they might be talking about the repros which are a POS. FWIW, I tookl the glass out and "adjusted" it permanently so it wouldn't move.

Then I bought a Talbot which is not the best thing I've ever seen, but it's cool looking. Too small to be of much help. I guess I will do something on the inside mirror for a wider angle.

I'm actually talking about original mirrors mounted on the drivers side of both of my 69 911 S's.

I'm talking one of them apart to see if I can "dremel" out a larger area to allow for that additional adjustment,

Have you tried rotating it, then adjusting it inward? Hard to describe in words, maybe. But the mirror will rotate within it's own plane. This will allow it to be pulled 'inwards' further.
