    Tony Adamowicz & Porsche

Tony's got a very entertaining website put together here. Great photos and a few videos. Quite a bit of Porsche content. One could spend some serious time on this website .... here're a few:

Nice find Curt! The 68 Trans Am car was recently restored and shown in a Pano a couple months ago

I never really noticed the missing rear bumpers on the TransAm 911's before?? Done to save weight, clearance for the exhaust, or what?

    Thumbs up

WOW.. what'a GREAT site ... thanks Curt

Tony was the guest speaker at our club's 10th Anniversary in Vegas...

Tony A-to-Z was one of the great all-round drivers... He would show up at any race, and do well driving any race car.

He also had some very fine people working with him ...
Especially when you read the bio and see the name Mac Tilton as crew chief on the car...
Tilton was/is a genius mechanic, fabricator, and coordinator... Tilton went on to start the most successful racing clutch and pedal assembly companies in the world.

    Thanks again,

He's got some real stories tucked away in there. These photos are of the 908 of Dieter Spoerry who crashed during practice for LeMans in '70. The crash tore off poor Dieter's shoes, but he was able to walk away The last photo shows Dieter contemplating the meaning of life immediately after the crash

    Curt,

The story I heard was that Tilton and the crew were mess'n with (developing) that 911 SO often that they just left the stuff off for convenience and accessibility...

After Tony passed, and sometimes lapped his competition, most thought that deleting that stuff was the 'magic deal'... and lots followed suit...

    ... and so it goes
