    How do you "loosen" seatbelts

My 73E has inertial seatbelts, and they work just fine (even the inertial part of them) but they retract soooo hard, it feels like the car is trying to choke you when you put them on.

How do I loosen the tension on the retractor so that they don't drag on us so hard. My wife has gotten to put the seat belt under her arm to protect her neck!!!!!!

New retractors can be bought although the "B" pillar hardware on them is not exactly like your originals. I'd replace them to be on the safe side. They are not terribly expensive and if you do "get to use them", it's better to have something that is going to work vs. a "maybe going to work". Besides, you wife will break her arm the way she's wearing it.

    Larry,

I use a cloths pin to hold against the top loop to ease the tension on my 912E. Maybe this will help you??
