    Correct carpet for 1972 E

I need to replace the carpet set in my 1972 911E. The choices seem to be German velour, domestic cut pile or German perlon. I would like to know what material would most closely replicate the original carpet in a leather optioned coupe.
    Thanks,
    Kevin

Maybe ask the seller for samples, so you can compare with the unworn sections of your original?

The original carpet was almoust certainly "salt and pepper" velour which is German made.

    Thanks for the replies.
pwd72s- The car was originally built with a vinyl interior and felt(perlon?)carpeting. I am planning to upholster the seats/door panels in leather and was wanting to make sure the carpet was upgraded appropriately.
nick-moss- I'll go with your recommendation. Thanks!
