Thread: Not the usual ebay junk!

    Not the usual ebay junk!

Not an S but looks to be about as nice as any early 911 I have ever seen. It's true you can't tell very much from photos but the seller says this is a one-owner, original paint, 35,000 mile car and the photos look in keeping with that. Any guesses on where this one will end up?

Bid if you must, but it looks like Tom is already all over it. I'm thinking this is one that'll top $30K. (Edit) Maybe I'd better lower that a bit...the lack of engine or chassis pics disturbs me. I'd definitely want a complete PPI before bidding.

Here is a link to the auction. It does look like a nice car. If you click on the additional photos it will bring up photos of the trunk, interior, exterior, and engine.

    Hey Jared,

The car is located in Birmingham, MI. You should go check it out. Don't often see one owner, low mile early 911s.

"There does not seem to be any signs of any prior damage on this vehicle."

Legalese if I ever read any.

Somebody should look at as it has some interesting features and at least one thing you hardly every see on an A/C car. The plug for the washer bottle that should be relocated forward of the cardboard blower/bulkhead cover.
The A/C lines are guaranteed shot as is the receiver/dryer. I hate to be a doubting Thomas but for 35,000 miles I thought it might be a bit more clean under the hood. No matter; easy job. Potentially nice '72. Go in eyes wide open.

    Good luck,

    Tom

Lower valve covers, oil return tubes, rear cam seals, pump seal, timing chain box seals cam seals and gaskets. The list could go on and on. I don't much care for the Bursch (lack of) muffler either.

Keep your eyes open if you are looking at it. These fixes are not done in an afternoon.

How's my '67-S? Dry as a popcorn fart.

There are better cars out there for you guys - no sense in getting married to a motor rebuild right away!! Keep looking.
