Thread: Center Cap Questions

    Post Center Cap Questions

I recently bought a set of deep sixes that didn't come with center caps. I need to find some center caps but I'm not sure which center caps fit the early "deep six" wheel. I have a set of center caps that fit the replica wheels the PO had fitted, but they don't fit in the deep sixes, the diameter of the opening on the deep six is bigger.

Can someone outline the different center cap options and which style fits which wheels?

You need the 3 prong center caps....they have well...ummm, 3 prongs that hang down from the backside of the centercap...and the cap "press fits" into the hole (or the prongs do....).

There are a lot of these three prong center caps around since they also came on the 14X5.5 Fuchs, which nobody wants. (I have five of these wheels in a matched set with period Michelin XAS and XVS tires - looking to sell them one of these days.) I'd sell you my caps, but I need them for the deep sixes I just bought.
