Randy, there were differences between cars with air conditioning and cars without. That said, I believe all 2.4 cars were the same...sort-of believe. You might do a search over on Pelican, see if they show a bottle pic for the 2.4's. On my car, the bottle neck sticks up through the trunk cross piece in front. On air conditioned cars, the bottle moved farther back in the trunk compartment, and I'm not sure of the exact location.

Thx, Paul - I'll search the catalog. Mine has no a/c, and does have a center front hole for a bottle.
Is yours hard plastic, or a flexible sack?
I guess you'd call it hard plastic...like polypropolene? Same milky white moulded material used in detroit cars these days...same stuff radiator overflow tanks are made of...not a "bag" like used on 1950's cars...

Thx - looks like a little beer barrel on the PET (at least for a '73). Guess I need to keep looking since the one a guy sold me isn't shaped like that.
Randy, you're welcome to drive a bit North & take a peek if you like, but if you can post the PET pic, I can probably tell. "Little beer barrel" sounds close though... It's fill tube sticks up through that hole, surrounded by a rubber grommet. There is a snap-top lid, fastened to the fill tube by a loop of it's plastic around the neck of the flared fill tube. Hope this makes sense...

I had this pic on my compu - but I can take more if needed
You know what? Nevermind - I am sick and tired of resizing my image to microscopic sizes.
Send me an email if you really want a pic.
Randy,
My 1973.5 has a kinda rectangular one at the bulkhead (I have factory AC). I am not sure if it just gets relocated for AC or it is truly differnt. PET lists just one Part number: 901-628-720-26

Here's the "barrel" shaped one I found in the PET (it has that same p/n):

That's what mine looks like. The bottom has a ridge that fits into a clip on the floor of the trunk.
