Thread: She missed Monterey

    She missed Monterey

but the car will be there next year...

I am told the word for the paint is "flop". Bit more to the car than some pretty paint but I just had to share today's effort.

Under the bright lights of the paint booth.

Normal indoor light in the same paint booth. That is the color's flop, silver to blue.

    Thanks for the comments.

I have 8 and 9 x 16s Fuchs for it now. But to fill out the new hammer and dollied flares it is taking a full inch spacer front and back. Not a big fan of spacers.

The car will take custom 9 and 11 x 17s now. But I like the older look of flares that aren't stuffed with huge over size rubber.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated!

    More pics..

From polar blue/silver to deep sky blue depending on the available light.

I have wondered at times if it was worth the wait. I was lucky enough to have a buddy loan me one of his 911s when I went into convulsions or I would have never made it through the winter Thanks Alex, I owe you big time!

No question my answer came today when I stepped into the paint booth. It was worth the wait.

Mark and crew at Eurotech here in Kirland WA have done an amazing job beginning to end. I couldn't be happier with their efforts and suggestions.

Chipped and dyno tuned, 280 rwhp, '95 3.6 with CUP cams and a custom exhaust goes in this weekend.

Interior looked like this 4 months ago. It has also been totally redone but in a very similar color scheme as this.

Paint is a Glazurit blue metallic. Close to the older gemini blue or newer zenith blue.

go with the classic anodized spoke/ black background/satin (frosted in Al Reed parlance) finish to the inner edge of the lip / then clear anodized lips on the 17's. I am not a big fan of the two piece look- too large a space between the ends of the spokes and rims. I know the three piece style lends it more of a road racer look, but the bolts break up that space well
i think the smooth look of the anodizing gives the early cars a lot of pop

Thanks Dave. Harvey took the time as well to squared away on anodized wheels at Monterey.

Chuck sounds like a great idea

Thumbs up The flares are great!

Dane, Noah Pollak had a set of real 9 & 11x15 RSR Fuchs for sale. 11's might be a bit much for the rears though. Just a thought. They just look so right.
