Need Good Early Repro Sport Seats.

Any one see this months Exelence? I need to find the seats that were in that early modified car? Please help. Any leads would be great. I can't stand sitting on those factory beasts anymore.

I have not seen the article but Vintage seats sells some very nice albeit expensive seats.

The article explained the seats...modified racing recaros from a 914. I presume similar to what was used in the 14-6 GT???

the last time I took a good look at Rob's seats the car definitely was not sporting 914 seats, the drivers seat was a fiberglass recaro light weight racing bucket ( not a repro ) and the passenger side was a 68 style factory 911 sport seat , Vintage seats makes a great repro fiberglass seat he sends them to Auto's International to get them covered and they use standard Recaro double locking sliders to mount them in your car as for finding a single passenger side factory seat that might be a little harder, the image below shows an early fiberglass bucket on the left and a 69 -71 style sport seat on the right.

These seats are clled the Monte Carlo and have galvanized steel frame with fire resistant padding,They come in leatherette, corduroy or basket weave, leather in corduroy, smooth leather or perforated leather.
They weigh about 28 lbs and the bucket ones start at 15.5 lbs.

www.wwclassics.com I have never seen their products but they look like they offer inexspensive seats. Saw the ad in 911 & Porsche World.

Rick - the seats that Worldwide Classics sell are the same as those offered by GTS.
