    RS engine?

    Hi,

Can anyone tell me is this is likely to be a number to an RS engine?
If so, can anyone find the history of this engine?

    662 0032?

I thought all RS engines started with 663...

According to Starkeys' book the first RS cars all had motors that started with 663xxx. Even the two earliest cars that were produced in April 72'.

I've seen a photo of the third car that was made in May 72' and it was built on a 72' chassis with the 72' style forward oil tank but even that car had a 73' chassis number as well as motor number.

But, anything is possible so who knows.

I've always considered the glass to be half full...that is until I reached middle age and realized that it is actually half empty.
