Short Sklyline Run Sunday early AM

So I fired up the S for the first time since fall yesterday. It actually ran pretty well. Still has some issues, but it's ok for short runs (wouldn't drive it to Monterey ). As such, myself and my two neighbors (both w/70 T's modified) will be in the Bucks (Woodside) parking lot at 7am tomorrow morning (Woodside Rd. Exit off I280, mid-penninsula, Bay Area) if anyone wants to join us. We have scouted out some nice backroads through the redwoods via Skyline Blvd, down to the coast and back. The whole run lasts about an hour to an hour and a half. We'll all be back in time for Confession

    Pass the word.

    Chris

PS - if you end up behind me, you may breath a lot of smoke , if you can stay close that is....

    Sunday ride...

I'm inclined to join you. Are you having breakfast at Bucks or leaving at 7:00? Bucks opens at 7:00.

Is Alpine Road on the agenda?

    Michael,

It was great of you to drive down from the city. I'm still jones'n on the fact you did all of King's Mtn Rd in second gear. I think I saw you hit your brakes only 2 or 3 times. That 3.4L is a torque beast. I was constantly going from 2nd up to 4th on that one straight (my short gear set).

sorry I left you at the top. I headed back down looking for Griff, and kept going, going and going (no Griff). I kept waiting to go round a corner and find him over the side, into a redwood, or tangled with a biker. I literally got all the way back down, through town, and back to my street where I saw him sitting in his car.

Turns out, our night of neigborhood drinking last night + Kings Mtn Rd. had done him in. He was positively Viper Green! Hope the rest of your drive was a good one and that you were able to hit the BoyScout camp rd. It's my favorite.

    Next time....

PS - Griff's coffee cup holder is one of his spiked golf shoes. He pushes it into the perlon, drops the cup into the opening, and that thing holds as if it was glued down. Just didn't want you to actually think he put a cup holder in his 911.

We'll do this a few more times, and I'll try to give more notice.

    Sunday run...

Thanks Chris. Hot fun on a foggy sunday at the church of the redwoods.

Life and God is great. Michael
