    Harvey's Fuchs Wizardry.......

Well, 7 months after sending my wheels to Harvey, they have returned....

Looking to maintain the "correct" look on my 67S, I decided to risk a set of original 4.5's to Harvey to see if they could be widened....decision was made to go for 6" width.... 7" was going to take 2 cuts, and I didn't want to risk it.

Here's the finished product....damn, I think I'll just put them in a glass case!

Hello: May I ask a stupid question? Why did you widen the 4.5 Fuchs to 6. Thanks Eric

Veeeeeeeeeeeeeeery nice lookin wheels. They got prettier curves than the blondes on the left coast on roller blades.

Well, as I mentioned I wanted the correct look, meaning the correct 67 (one year only) wheels....however I didn't want to be tied to the limited amount of rubber available (185 series is really pushing it on that width rim), and I also wanted as large a footprint as possible on the road. Not sure what tires are going on these wheels yet....

Have you fitted them to the car yet to see if you have any clearance on the inside, especially at the front on full lock?

Wow, what's the resulting offset of that baby?

My guess is a massive 61mm. No problem with a wheel spacer.

    Great looking wheels Eric.

Harvey is indeed the master. I bought 4, 6 x15" wheels off E Bay last year had the guy send them direct to Harvey who sent me a report, he then did the restoration and sent the wheels to me Down Under.

Everyone and I mean everyone goes nuts when they see them as I doubt anyone else in Australia has any refinsihed by Harvey and and the guys who try out here all do a crap job!!!

Pic of Harveys wheels on my nearly finshed targa resto

Harvey ran the numbers..and with a spacer we should be fine...., note that's one of the reasons we did a 6" instead of 7".

It appears I shouldn't have a problem according to this:
