    The Cooperative Daughter

    Fellas:

Well, I have moved into another category. I am now another generation older. My daughter, Alyssa, gave birth on Monday morning to a little girl, Ella Reah, 6 pounds, 9.5 ounces. Mom and baby are doing fine.

Interesting in that I hit downtown Chicago on Sunday about 7:30, and Judy called me on the cell, "Don't meet us at the restaurant, head straight for the Hospital!! We're having a grandchild!!"

Had she been even a day earlier, I wouldn't have been able to do AutoX or Road Warrior stuff. But my faithful daughter, knowing how much I wanted to go to Taj, waited till it was convenient.

    Here's a few pix.

    Congratulations, Gramps...

I think you'll quickly find that "grandkids are the only reason you had kids in the first place"...

I love my grandson...he's six now. Since he lives with me (I'm his LG) every single day is an adventure!!

    Enjoy, Larry.

    Cheers

I think this board needs to start a new tradition. Grandpas must mail out cigars to every paid up member who posts here... Let the spoiling begin! Congrats Larry...

And not crap cigars either! So, you gonna be "Grandad", "Grandpa" or "Papa"?

Congrats Larry! I can see her with a little baby houndstooth cap on in the carseat in "Papa's Poosha"

    Congratulation Larry,

There is an old Irish saying "Grandchildren are Gods way of compensating us for getting older".

I know my father goes nuts over my kids.

    Hey Larry congratulations!

Beautifull looking grand daughter. I am glad you had time to drop me off before rushing off to the hospital. That is amazing timing. You will always remember that weekend for many reasons now. Make my cigar chocolate please.
