    Question Opinions please... 69S

A friend over in the US (who is not so much into Porsches) told me, that another friend is thinking about selling his 'perfect' 69S, that he has for quite some time, but is not driving it a lot.
    He sent me those fotos.

    Sorry for the low res...

    But for a first glance...
I am not an expert in 69 models, so if anybody could help out...

What looks funny to me already...

-tires with way too low sidewalls WRONG!!!?!
    -polished intake housing
    -rocker trim (later model?)
    -steering wheel
    -seats
    -partlines turn lenses front/back
    -Fuchs aftermarket?? (hard sections)
-gizmoo on tunnel (is that an amplifier??? )

    But then...

    Early 911SREGISTRY sticker!
    Paint looks nice...

Price might be interesting but not fixed yet...

LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU GUYS THINK OR KNOW ABOUT THAT CAR...

    THANKS!

Looks nice enough for the right price, but that wheel/tire fitment sure looks wrong.

Those 7's on the front probably forced the owner to raise the front end up a bit, looks pretty strange with a 911 sitting with the front so high.
It could be a good car, however, a good inspection would be called for.

Stickers missing at the rear so must have had a repaint. Lid shock inoperative-is that a broom handle holding up the engine lid?

The tire/wheel/clearance issue could also be as simple as the lack of ultra high performance tire selection for 15x6 wheels. The majority of those tires come in 205/50/15's which could give the appearance in a photo that the front end is too high even if its set at U.S. stock height clearance.

This is not a perfect "S" from Porsche AG, but given the usual PPI, I don't see anything that's permanently disfigured.

    - Backdate turn and tail lenses
    - Repaint air filter housing
    - Replace wheels/tires with period-correct versions
    - Remove elec. box in interior
    - Replace w/factory seats

    69s

Thorsten, engine compartment looks funny. But it is VERY hard to tell from the pics. I'm SURE you know, 'perfect' 69S'es are going for $40K and MORE...If you can have it inspected and the $$$ is right, I don't see how you could go wrong!

P.S. Do you know about Rook Racing over there? I just bought a RoW '89 Club Sport that they owned before the PO brought it over here. SWEET CAR....
