turn signal stalk (click back) thingy

While driving yesterday on our typ 901 "Clunes" hoon (drive) my little blue cars turn signal stalk went snap, crackle, pop!
Gratuitous P-car line up shots included.
Something internally, which would click after I would finish a turn went crunch and now I have to manually put the stalk back to center when I have finished turning. Its just a little flacid/limp now This is on my '67S.
Does anyone know what part I need to get and where I might get it?

Sorry for my ignorance, but I don't know what the part is called.

Oh, and the run was great! With my distributer rebuilt it was like my engine had increased in displacement - lots of fun. We had 16 cars out there at the start, which included Lisa's 356 Gregory Abarth.

What you might need is a little spring that returns the turn signal lever to it's place.

I don't know wher you can get it tough. The overall mechanism has 3 springs. Take out the steering wheel and see if the springs are there, if they are (all 3), and in good shape, then it's something else. If you need 1 spring, I have 3, and since mine all currently work, I might be willing to part with one.

    Good luck

    Guys,

Yes it was our biggest turn out since last years Nationals my RS had alternator problems so had to park it and take the Ford instead, how embarassing otherwise we would have had 17 cars.

Justins 67S looks the goods with its new GTS Classics seats and shiny paint work and obviously it now feels the goods as well.

We drove for around 4 hours total so the cars all got a good clean out and a chance to run at temp for a change. Some of them even were speeding a little!!!!!!

Those who are in to movies might note that this street was the setting for the Ned Kelly (famous Aussie bushranger) movie starring Heath Ledger and Naomi Watts and the site where gold was first discovered in Victoria.

Clyde...we never speed...our speedos just read fast on occasion
Great day, even greater weekend for those of us who continued on and enjoyed more of the same on Sunday albeit in wet, wintery conditions. Thanks again - a mini-break away full of fun and I didn't have to do a thing except enjoy it!

    Cheers,
