    Correct Rocker Detail - One More Try

    I posted this question in the Technical Info forum but got no response so, because I know somebody out there knows the answer, am trying again here. Please help me out if you can....

    Does anyone know for sure what the correct rocker panel finish is for a 1968 911? Is it body color paint? Black or other color? And very specifically, where does it start / stop? Any detailed information for this exterior trim area is appreciated.

    I tried to search the archives for this question but couldn't find a definitive answer. Thanks.

    Wink Rocker Panel Color

    Ed:

    According to the cars I have seen and also mine , the Rocker Panel should be in Body Color . This began from the exterior surface of the rocker curve(below the door) to where the Jack Stand Off or Jack support starts. Although I have seen that this support is sometimes painted in body color or in black (not painted!) they leave the natural color of the the Apko Seal or Anti-Chip (Corrosion Protective and Sound deadener) for originality purposes.
