    72 Door Panel Details

Question; I can't seem to get a clear and concise answer on this question.
Were basket weave door panels standard on all 72 911's? I have seen some with basket weave, and some with a plain panel; What is correct , or did it vary by model?

72 and 73 cars, the 2.4s, had smooth. leather grained door panels. Basket weave was on 69 - 71 cars, also on 68s which had a unique embossing around the basketweave section.

    Nick,

Thanks for this, I was wondering the same for a 1969 911S Targa with beige leatherette and optional full leather seats. Would the basket weave have to be black or beige? (or perhaps beige leather)?

Perhaps someone has a picture of a fully standard beige leather interior?
