When we ordered paint to sample, if it was from another car, we included the car paint code from manufacturer. I have seen VW, Audi and Opel to name a few. Most were the 99 though. Audi makes good sense for this color...JMHO

I've researched so many sites, but can't seem to find a cross reference an exact match to this particular color. The paint samples on paint chips and cars seem to be different than what we find on the car, but that could simply be lighting of course. The color codes from Audi didn't translate-- that would have been terrific though.

Wow. That M87 Really got my attention! I have been strongly leading toward a modern Audi color, and the M87 is VERY similar to Zanzibar Brown Metallic. Name: audi-rs7-zanzibar-brown-2.jpg

I do love that Cognac Metallic though. Hadn't seen that. Very cool.
