The left one looks like a VW (beetle) jack to me.

My '69 came with the one on the left.

The one on the right is from the mid 70's I think...

Darn...I was going to keep quiet, then let Bobbo be burned at the first 2 "experts"....BTW, don't actually USE the VW style jack...it's a death trap. Mine is for showing only. To use, I carry a scissors jack...

My apologies for thinking the one on the left is for a VW. I had one and gave it to a VW guy since the one from a 1965 - 911 is different and I am not into VW.

Once again my apologies for sending out wrong information.

So Paul your car came with type on the left?

The one on the left is from a 69' car and the one on the right is from a 73'. I'm trying to narrow down when the switch was made. If Pauls' car came with the type on the left then the switch was probably made around 73'.

At any rate it appears the left one would be correct for 71' according to Curts' and Pauls' cars.

    next question....

If anyone needs "the one on the left" I happen to have one collecting dust.....

No clue what it's worth - but I have learned my lesson about "throwing things out"

Sorry to hijack - but it's here if anyone is interested.

    THANKS
