    1971 911T with 45k, time warp.

    1971 Karmann T with only 45k miles
It's all-original right down to the paint, Light Ivory and Beige interior.
    VIN: 9111120615
    No modifications or upgrades.
Nice factory options like Konis, S trim, 6" deep Fuchs, S brakes etc.

    Non-original parts:
    - H1s, I do have the originals in boxes
    - Rear SS muffler valance
    - Chrome fender trims, not yet installed

    Brand new parts:
    - NOS OEM heat exchangers, not yet installed
    - Michelin XWX, less than 2k on those
    - Full tune up with OEM parts
    - NOS orange Oil filter, not yet installed, waiting for that special moment.
    - New set of Koni shocks, not much wrong with the original units and I still have them.
    - New Pagid pads in front and Textar in the back, first pad change!!

Here are some photos, please disregard dates, the car has not changed in condition since I purchased it back in 2003:

So it seems...I'll let the new owner declare himself but let me assure you she is heading to a very good home .

Yes this car is heading down under where it will join its brothers in my increasing flock.

I have always had a bent towards the 73 year model but I was aware of this car some time ago when it was at Robert Gross's house and I had seen lots of pics and had rave emails from Robert. That was good enough for me so when I realised it was the same car...well I bought it! I was quite surprised given what some have sold for recently that this car was not snapped up quickly by someone State side.

I have decided to do the Frank G thing and acquire an unmolested original low milegae car instead of spending tens of thousand trying to reproduce the same thing and then its still not original and costs heaps more.

I do not believe, even allowing for the fact its LHD, which is no longer an issue in my State in Australia, that I could acquire a similar RHD version for that price let alone find one.

A low mileage one owner 73 E sold for $65,000US last year just to give you an idea and a 73 S I used to own which was posted on the General Info site this week recently sold for $72,000US and it had been painted etc so it was not really original although has only done 80,000 miles and is really nice.

Remember we didn't get many cars down under so the choices are very limited and hence the prices. I don't have to change the car at all except for the front and rear lenses and headlights and then I can register it and drive it like any other car on the road, same as I did for my RS 18 months ago.

I can't wait for it to arrive should take about 4 weeks to get approval to import it (guaranteed but still have to apply) and about 6 weeks on the boat.
