    Silver 1967 911 "S"

Does anyone have any info on the Silver 1967 911 "S" that is on ebay right now. I looked to see if there was a thread on the car already but did not see one. If I overlooked, please direct me to the thread, if not, I would appreciate any info/thoughts on the car. Bidding is low???? Whats up????
Looking forward to hearing from the group!!! Tom

You guys got your cars mixed up

The thread "911S" by platas is about a 1973 911S for sale through ebay by a dealer with a less than stellar reputation in San Francisco. The silver 1967 911S also offered through ebay is in New York state. Why the bids so low on it? Well, way too much stuff on it is not original. Like the engine, seats, etc. Also, it was used as a "race car" in its past so it is probably in poor condidtion as well. I would pass, even at the low price. It's just not what I'm looking for.

Sorry for the mix up. I remember this car now. It has been on Ebay many times. The same owner also sold a 356 on Ebay. The last time this car was on Ebay it was sold for $30K. Apparently the deal fell thru. Perhaps the bidder backed out when he actually saw the car. Anyway, I emailed the owner and he says he wants $30K for the car. It seems to me this would be an OK price if the condition of the car merited a 2 or 2+ on a scale of 1 to 5 with 1 being a show car and 2 being a good driver. Unfortunately, the photos of this car are so limted it does not show enough to really judge. I think I will try to contact the previous winner of the auction to see if he can explain why the deal fell thru.

There is a thread on this car from the last time it was on ebay; it is FS: 67 911S
by MAPC. It is on page 4. The earlier winner was from Japan an is no longer an Ebay user.
