Here is another nice early 911 on ebay. Irish green, original paint. Very clean and very original, judging from the photos. Anyone looking for a market bellweather, here you are.

Looks like Frank had second thoughts. Bidding went up to $25K but has since dropped down to $18K with the bid retraction.
Looks to be a "time-warp" car. It's nice to see these well cared for cars appear once in a while..

Not to worry, $26,600 and still "reserve not met."Originally Posted by reed
So the question is, "Is it the Time-Warp factor that is getting the price so high? If this were a Time-Warp S, would the price be significantly higher?"

That's a very nice looking car. I hope the seller gets top dollar for it. He should be rewarded for preserving it like that. I'm sure an S in that kinda shape would probably bring double at this point in time, but I'd sure as heck take that one in a heartbeat if I was in the market.

I would say that the answer to both of your questions is YES, without a doubt. The car is very original. A 1972 S as original, in as good condition....well ask PWD72S.Originally Posted by larry47us

I totally understand what you guys are saying. But that car wouldn't work for me. I waited too long. I need to drive mine. Even if you put only 5K on it annually, you would be ruining what you spent so much to purchase.
It'll be nice to watch the auction, but it's not my kinda car.

I kinda find myself rooting for Don on this one...although if his competition is the Tajmahal I think it is?...well, $30K is lunch money to these folks...Still, the rich don't get that way by overspending on things. 4 days to go...
