    Question 911 s Targa

    911 s targa, not mine, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT
What do you guys think of this one

Wow. That's an unsual car. When was the last time you saw red leather sport seats. If original, that would have been one very expensive 911. It doesn't look like the original owner missed too many options: full leather, sport seats, A/C, through-the-grill fog lights, s/s muffler skirt, Blaupunkt cassette.

Obviously, I would want to do a little more investigation, but all in all, this one looks very nice and well worth the cosmetic restoration it probably needs. The paint looks like it might be original and I wouldn't be surprised if the ducktail were an original Porsche part either. I'll be watching this one.

    Nice color combo and options!

Provided numbers match with good documentation, and rust is not extreme; definitely worth the $ to restore it to like new condition.
    All the best...

Had to be a special order car....amazing list of options, given the scope, it's "possible" that ducktail was a factory order, and there may even be a limited slip in that car...., that would be a fun one to run a COA on.

    .

Per EBay description - the ducktail was added by the second owner - but no idea what year that was...

I love the color combo and accessories list......
Absolutely a gem worth restoring ($30k+ later....)

The dealer wants 18 K for it , so being that it would be better just to make a direct deal with them, i would think, the car sure looks good on pics, specially all the option that come with it.

No pictures of the engine, no VIN and enginenr. provided in the description... Perhaps the dealer has something to hide? Before one could say anything about the price of this car, it should first be investigated whether it has matching nrs. and MFI, if not, the value of the car is considerably less.

How about the red leather dash? Shouldn't that be the black woven fabric? And the doorpanels (in red leather?)? My 1969 911S Targa has the same (beige leather). Did some option exist to have the doorpanels in the same material/colour as the seats?
