    Dansk Sport Muffler 2/2

i recently removed this from my 68. overall great condition. it is a Dansk Sport Muffler 2 in 2 out that i bought new last year in june. i had it ceramic coated by west coast powdercoating ($100) in a dark gray. the dansk finish will burn off within the first couple hundred miles. this muffler has about 2K miles on it.
please note the scratch on the pass side pipe and the scratch from the lic plate panel. the longer horizontal blemish is not visible once mounted on the car. i did not know it was there until i replaced the muffler.
would prefer local sale vs shipping. i am the east bay area.
$275 OBO. if no local interest then shipping will be approx $25-$30 but will get accurate total based on zips.
edit: i failed to mention that the pass side pipe was slightly warped from the powdercoaters. i am sure this is an easy fix but it did not bother me enough to pursue.

Bob, I would be a buyer for it. I have a car leaving from San Fran. Email me at alex@b-a-m.com.au. Will deposit funds into your account or have a friend give you cash - eitherway. Thanks

    Bob -

Just curious, what did you end up using on your car that you liked better then the 2/2 sport.?

I liked the sport muffler just fine. Even gave up a nice ceramic coated Liestritz for it. When I transplanted the sport to the rebuilt 2.7 it tended to sputter and backfire. Thought it lacked back pressure so I swapped in a reg muffler which did help but only because the sputtering was probably quieter. After further investigation it turned out the carb was plugged with masking tape. Looking back - the masking tape was probably always the problem - not the muffler.

    sport exhaust fitment

    Hello Bob:
One more question. Did you have to trim the bottom edge of the license
plate panel to clear the tips? I could not tell from your picture.
    Thanks,
    50/50
