Which oil tank? 73 or 75?

    Guys,
If I have two oil tanks, a 73 with the aluminum pressure relief console, or a later 75 without the console but with the additional holes in the tank where the oil filter attaches, which do I use in my 2.7 conversion? Originality is always an issue, but does the later tank provide better oil flow circulation? Does the 73 oil tank provide double redundancy with the internal pressure relief in the filter? Does the double pressure relief matter more than the possible difference in oil flow?

    Thanks for the help

Seeing as how no one has an opinion, I'm going with the original 73 tank.

installed a 74+ oil tank in my 68 when i did the 2.7 swap. it was recommended for oil capacity reasons by mechanic who also who sold me the tank.
he had to cut an opening for the 74+ tank and i had to make a "plug" for the other empty hole. i have since had to pull it myself and to take care of a few things which i can tell you makes me appreciate the detatchable filler neck style opposed to the fixed style. it is a bitch to get the tank up into the SWB wheel well - i mean a real bitch.
with the 2.7 swap i believe the lines are different which was another reason to swap them out.
anyway - your compartment won't look original and i believe there are fittings you can buy to adapt yours to fit a 2.7.
