    steering wheel police question

    I need help identifying these steering wheels.
    901-347-081-10 5/72 approx. 15.125"dia / 378mm (measured to rim center)
    901-347-082-00 6/73 approx. 15" dia. / 375mm " "
    Thinking the first one is a RS wheel I went to the parts yard looking for a stock replacement. The best wheel I could find was another leather wrapped one. They seem to be the same dia. but the second wheel leather wrapping is a little thicker than the first wheel. Any ideas what I have?

    The first one (901.347.081.10) is a leather-rimmed 400mm wheel as used on '69-'71 911S models & optional on others.

    Check the number on the second one again - is it 911.347.082.00 ?

    If so, it is the later imitation leather version of the 400mm wheel used from mid-'72.
