    69-72? Jack FS

Hmmm I have 3 PM's about my jack - sorry about the slow reply!

I took 2 pics and looked it over.

I am not familiar with these jacks so am unsure what it is missing.

The pictures show it right out of the trunk and UNCLEANED - I do feel that it will restore nicely though....

I am thinking $60 inc shipping - again not looking to make big $$ here - just don't need this jack and want it in a good home/car.

If the price is outta whack - please let me know

Back again since I still have not the answer (I thought I got it). Which is the correct jack for a 69-72?

I have identified 2 differences between the jacks shown.

    Regards, Richard

I sure could use a jack for my '69S. Anybody know if this one is the right one?

If it is the right one, RussianBlue, I am sure we can hook up this week to make the swap. Do you live in Seattle or the East Side?

I've never had a 911 or 912 newer than 1972. And all of them had the jack more like the one on the right (starboard) side.

    Thumbs up 911 Jack information

    Well Guys,

I hate to say this but I would say neither of these jacks are correct for any year 911.

Compared to my 67 or 71 they are not the same.

If you have a owners manual I believe their are pictures of what should be included with your car. I looked in mine and they both have pictures of the jack with the instructions of how to use them.

The one on the left has two places for the jack handle which is like the VW type.

The other one has too small of a reinforced area which supports the part which sticks into the jack receiver on the body of the car.

This area should be wider and flat and the shaft part of it doesn't have the little notch at the top which you placed a arrow at.

If you ever check out the 3 different styles of the 356 Porsche jacks. The last revision of it for the 356C models is just like the early 911/912 types.

The one on the left looks closer to a 356A type but I do not think it is correct for that application either. I am just mentioning it since after the 356A type the early 356B's had that area reinforced meaning larger with a egg shaped cutout, then the last design for the 356C's to the 901 series went to the solid without the egg shaped cutout in the area behind what I would call the "dickie" part that sticks into the car.

Okay just my opinion, I hope it helps.

    Jacks

Oops I meant the one on the right looks a little like the early 356A type.

Sorry for not proofreading until I posted.

I am going to look in my manual today to see if the jack is correct. BTW, I work in Redmond, so hooking up should be no prob.
