    Splicing of hard oil lines?

Any one have any coments on this one? I am running into a wall finding one year only hard oil lines for a 73. I was thinking of using the 74 and on hard lines and grafting extensions to use stock soft lines. My other choice is to lengthen the soft lines from the t-stat to the hard lines. My other question is I know that Porsche changed the 30mm fittings to a smaller size but don't know what year? Any input is appreciated.

    Hard Line Repair

I went to Home Depot and used a double female copper connector that fits snuggly over the original hard line. I then soldered it together with a coat of JB Weld over the seams. I had it pressure tested at a radiator shop. It's worked fine for over a year.
