    WTB: 911 carpet set

Hi, I'm looking for a 911 carpet set, black or dark grey.
Actually I need 2 sets. One for a 67 coupe and one for a 71 targa. Anyone have one they don't need?

Tony from Tony's Autobahn has just gone through the process of updating his early 911 carpeting pattern. He is using the pattern pulled from an original low mileage carpet that was sent to him by Nate Cantwell (Manhattan trophy winner). If Tony's carpets are good enough for Nate, they are good enough for me.

On a side note, Tony has done 3 sets of sport seats for me, and I have 3 sets down there right now...his work is superb...

Note that the current carpeting fabric out there is a little darker than OE, though it does have the correct feel (I am referring to the velour carpeting...the salt and pepper stuff).

Thanks for the recommendation. Just got off the phone w/ Tony.
He is a really nice guy. Sending me a sample. He mentioned Nate
and a few other cars he was doing carpet etc.. for.
$750 for the velour carpet kit. He also does dash's
He said those normally run around $300.

Found another place to spend more money !

Of the domestic, plush or perlon, which would be more appropriate for an early 911?
I've talked to World Uphl. and App BiZ. Anyone know which one is better?
I'll also get in touch with Tony.

    Tom,

Velour is the appropriate carpet.....it's what's most common in the Early S's. Perlon was 912's, and 911T's (some of them).

    Tom,
The carpet sets from AppBiz are nicely made but as I remember were bound with a nylon fabric edging rather than the vinyl (leatherette) & were ony avaiable in perlon.
Southbound Trimmers in the UK make a carpet set from the original velour sourced from Germany , but more expensive than the $750 Eric mentioned & the pile of the velourseems more fluffy . But then I only have my 33 year old carpet to compare it to!!!

I have carpets made in the same material that Eric mentions (he has my sample) they are £450 per set. The SWB cars appear to be bound in black cotton material and the LWB cars, which have a different 2 part design for the driver's pedal mat, are bound in vinyl.
